Distribution of Silver to low income group Jewellery Manufacturers
The National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) distributed silver to low income group (Samurdhi beneficiaries) jewellery manufacturers in the Western Province.
The presentation ceremony was held on the 13th of May 2010 at the ‘NGJA’ Auditorium.

Several senior executives of the NGJA attended the presentation ceremony, including Mr Ajith Perera, the Acting Deputy Director General NGJA and Mr Mahindalal Gunatilake, the Director General NGJA.

Some of the other dignitaries that attended the ceremony include Mr S. C. Edirisinghe, Manager (assaying) National Gem and Jewellery Authority and Mr.A.P.Jayarajah, the managing partner Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery. Mr.A.P.Jayarajah is also the Vice Chairman (Jewellery Segment) Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association (SLGJA).
